Hi, I'm Alexander.
I built Smoozy because my not so powerful computer couldn't handle complex scenes that I didn't want to simplify — yeah, overnight renders just to wake up and realize that you only disabled that shrinkwrap mesh in the viewport. Render farms were a solution, and I did use them occasionally, but didn't always have the budget. Surprisingly, a solution came from one of an artist's greatest fears — AI. The GPU market has been flooded with Nvidia chips, which made them incredibly cheap — as low as $0.25 per hour for an RTX 3090 or $0.45 for a 4090. While the intent behind building all those data centers was model training, we as 3D artists can use the same hardware to do our own thing.

Smoozy is your window into the cheap GPU server world. Rent a powerful GPU server for dirt cheap, install everything you need via the program and enjoy actually using Blender on your local machine while rendering is happening elsewhere.
I really hope you find it useful for your workflow. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions, suggestions or just want to say what a great or terrible job I'm doing.
Happy blending.
